Summary

This project focused on transforming a backyard pool area by replacing natural grass and old plantings with artificial turf. The goal was a low-maintenance, durable surface that could handle heavy use and Florida's weather.

The Work

Removed and disposed of existing clusia and materials
Completed full excavation and rebuilt base with crushed rock
Installed 1.25-inch pile pet/play turf with drainage backing, including seam work and infill
Added approximately 50 linear feet of clean edging for a sharp finish
Refreshed landscape beds with crushed shell and mulch

The Outcome

The backyard now stays green and tidy year-round without the hassle of mowing or watering. The turf sits level against the pool deck and fence, drains well even after heavy rain, and holds up to foot traffic and play. This upgrade makes the outdoor space more usable and easier to care for.
